Good Luck for Tomorrow

Good Luck for Tomorrow

We would just like to wish all clubs the very best of luck with their games tomorrow.

From an administration point of view details of the East League Managers and the Rules to be used this season have been uploaded onto this site for just over a week. Team captains and Club Administrators can click on the downloads button to have a copy on your phone, pc or laptop.

Teamsheets for tomorrow's games equally can be found in the downloads section for you to print. Please remember it is the home teams responsibility to enter their result onto the League website. Any captains short of a password or haven't been shown how ask the person who was captain last season to help you. Neither your East League Manager or the East League Secretary will have your password and the East League Management Committee will have a dim view if a captain says they do not have the password.

Covid wise we hope all clubs have communicated clearly their plans to the teams that are visiting and we hope all away clubs will assist the home club by showing compliance. We realise all clubs have worked hard on their plans and we ask that no-one takes any short cuts to let those plans be compromised.

In signing up to England Hockey's Covid availability players should have noted an increase in focus on the England Hockey Code of Conduct and Behavior and a call for increased attention to respect given to umpires and your opposing players.

We hope all players will remember this. People have moved mountains (within England Hockey, within the East League, within your club and in the club you are playing against) to allow you to play tomorrow, so just remember that before verbally sounding off at the umpire because a bit maybe didn't go your way.

Lastly, our League Secretary Neil Liversedge was taken into hospital last Wed (16th Sept) and diagnosed with Pneumonia. Good news he was let home on Monday where he is recovering so please for now if you have any questions head to your League Manager in the first instance.

Good luck! We hope all goes well.
