The East Region Hockey Association Board met on Wednesday. One of the agenda points was to discuss how the Board should vote on the England Hockey proposal (see below) that will be presented at the 2020 EH AGM on 17 March in response to the Resolution passed at the 2017 AGM.
The wording of the resolution will be:
- Approval of the resolution to endorse the "Structure Fit for the Future" proposal and instruct England Hockey to work with the membership with the aim to deliver the changes proposed in the timeline set out in the full proposal document.
The Board voted unanimously to support the proposal.
The recommendations propose a major change to the way our game is administered and governed, the biggest changes for 25 years. By now all clubs should have received booklets called " A Structure Fit for the Future" which describe the changes.
The East Region Hockey Association Board encourage all clubs and counties to vote on the proposal.
Details of the voting process can be found on the England Hockey website http://www.englandhockey.co.uk/page.asp?section=2464§ionTitle=Governance+Review+2020 in the document titled "Civica Election Services appointment and process"
