We have become aware of some documents being circulated around the East reporting to be the East League structure going into the 2020/2021 season.
The East League Management Proposals are, of course, aware of the proposals being recommended for adoption at the next England Hockey AGM regarding. If these are voted through successfully the earliest they will be adopted is the 2021/22 season, therefore next season (2020/21) there will be NO change to the East League structure being proposed, except that both the Essex County and the 5-Counties Ladies Leagues will be joining the East League, creating South-East and South-West quadrants (which will mirror what happens in the Men's League).
The East League Management Committee is keen that all clubs use their vote at the England Hockey AGM and encourages all clubs to note the news item posted by the East Region Hockey Association Board in February.
The East League Management Committee is largely an administration body of League Hockey and feel it important to maintain a neutral position, as whether the proposals are voted through or not there will be League Hockey in the East and will have to respond whichever way to bring the result of the AGM to life.
